Infrared Control

ceir group shotControl your Hi-fi and AV equipment from anywhere in the home using this IR extender system.
De-cluttering your home and putting all those remote controlled devices (HiFi's DVD, Video, Sat boxes) into cupboards or cabinets has always been a problem due to the need to have a visual line of sight for the handheld remotes.
Now your problem is solved with this simple and reliable solution.

A basic kit will require an infrared connecting block with power supply, receivers for each of the rooms that you wish to control devices from, and emitters in front of each device that you wish to control.

Infrared  Connecting Block

The Infrared connecting block is a four way amplified Infra-Red connecting block and is normally co-located with the equipment to be remotely controlled by the handset.
A green activity indicator shows the system status etc.
The advantage of this product over other similar systems is that the signals are amplified giving a more rugged and reliable solution.
The connecting blcok powers the network and gathers the  signals from the receivers and whatever is fired into the receiver from the remote control hand set is sent out to all of the flashers thus controlling the equipment.
Multiple connecting blocks can be connected to the network, one for a Visual Cupboard, another for the central HiFi and media server.

 ir barrel receiver CEIR-RCVR-BRRL

Infrared Barrel Receiver

The Infrared Barrel Receiver is used as part of a network, it receives IR commands from a hand held remote control device and extends the command from room to room. The receivers  can be installed in many locations such as in the ceiling or mounted in a wall or cabinet.
As part of an IR distribution network, the receiver is mounted in the room where control of a centrally located system is required. The receiver is cabled using CAT5e cable and is powered from the central connecting block.  The infrared light signals are converted to electrical signals and passed through the network to the emitters and converted back to light.
A built in “talkback” green LED is incorporated in the lens giving a visual indication of IR activity.
Whatever IR code / signal are inputted it is transmitted through the network. Therefore a remote code from a video controller will control its own device, also a remote from the HiFi will control only that system.
Care has to be taken if you have two devices using the same control codes i.e. two satellite set top boxes from the same manufacturer / make etc.
Generally the receiver is plasma friendly, but locations with LCD and plasma screen should be taken into account.

ir emitter 1 eye CEIR-EMIT-01

Infrared Single Emitter - Blinking

A micro infrared emitter that delivers the message instigated from a remote room to the equipment being controlled such as central hi-fi or satellite box.
The Emitter is plugged into the conncecting block via the 3.5mm jack plug and the other end is stuck to the equipment’s IR receive window.
The small device has a peel and stick  method of affixing the device to the equipment.
To find the “sweet spot” it is best to hold the device just in front of the window while someone is using the controller in another room and move it around until the best position is found to stick the unit to.

Infrared Dual Emitter - Non Blinking

A dual micro infrared emitter that delivers the message instigated from a remote room to the equipment being controlled such as central hi-fi or satellite box. The Emitter is wired into a 3.5mm jack plug or connected to the connecting block by other means and the other ends are stuck to the equipment’s IR receive window.
The small devices have a peel and stick  method of affixing to the equipment. To find the “sweet spot” it is best to hold each of the buds just in front of the device window while someone is using the controller in another room and move it around until the best position is found to stick the bud to.

k hub 15 way CRIS-KHUB-15

15 Way IDC Hub

A termination panel mounted in the CRIS enclosure is a neat way to connect multiple receivers to the IR hub creating an extensive network.
The CRIS-KHUB is a flexible method to build systems that have cat5e terminations connected together. This unit can be used to do this, due to its simple design, all or some of the connectors can be jumpered in a row to create a bus or a group of connectors.
The terminal blocks on this unit are not connected in its sold state, and the installer has to double jumper the blocks for the system to be configured

If a pre terminated version is required, please ask.
